One of the biggest news in sports in the MLB offseason was the Shohei Ohtana sweepstakes. Many collectors are looking to get into more affordable desired Ohtani cards. One of those cards is his 2017 Bowman Mega Box that features him in his national Japan jersey from the 2017 World Baseball Classic. Considered as a pre-rookie or XRC, but his first English licensed card by Bowman. You’ll also see that on the card, his last name was then spelt as Otani instead of Ohtani as it wasn’t phonetically romanized officially until later in English.
